Jamii Africa hosted the First Annual International and Ethnic City Wide
Health Fair, sponsored by Project WISH, a Washington DC's Department of
Health Initiative. Iona Senior Center proved to be an ideal
location for this purpose. Health Fair visitors were treated
to: ● Health Awareness presentation by professional health practitioners ● High Blood Pressure Screening by the local Fire Department ● Stress Management Techniques ● Recruitment for free screening for Cervical Cancer and Breast Cancer ● Entertainment and refreshments |
