To enable peoples of an African descent to maintain a distinctly "African" consciousness enabling them to develop a sense of uniqueness rooted in their cultural inheritance by:
  • Helping peoples of an African descent to develop a supportive culture that reflects the ideals of community as found in a traditional African village;
